2015 Ferrari FF
reported issues, recalls & what to inspect

This report uses official federal safety records plus VeroRoad’s vehicle × tool evidence. It is a screening tool, not a reliability grade or prediction that your specific car will fail.

Read the numbers correctly.

NHTSA complaints are consumer-submitted allegations, not verified failures. Raw complaint totals are not failure rates because vehicle sales/exposure are not normalized here. A recall is an official safety campaign, but your VIN may or may not be included.

REPORTED-ISSUE RADAR

Which systems appear most often in the complaint record?

Use this to prioritize inspection effort, not to label the vehicle “good” or “bad.”

That does not prove the vehicle has no problems. Use the exact VIN, service history and an independent inspection.

19V006000AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE

Ferrari North America (Ferrari) is recalling certain 2014 Ferrari California, 2014-2015 Ferrari 458 Italia, 458 Spider, 2014-2016 Ferrari FF, 2014-2017 Ferrari F12, 2015-2018 Ferrari California T, 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale A, 2016 Ferrari F60 America, 2016-2017 Ferrari F12 tdf, 2016-2018 Ferrari 488 GTB, 488 Spider, 2017-2018 Ferrari GTC4Lusso and 2018 GTC4Lusso T vehicles nationwide. These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.

Why it matters: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy: Ferrari will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag assembly, free of charge. The recall began March 8, 2019. Owners may contact Ferrari customer service at 1-866-551-2828. Ferrari's number for this recall is 65.

Ferrari North America, Inc. (FNA) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ferrari 458 Italia, 458 Spider, 458 Speciale, 458 Speciale A, California T, FF, F12 Berlinetta, and LaFerrari vehicles manufactured December 19, 2014, to April 29, 2015. The affected vehicles may be equipped with a driver side air bag module that was improperly assembled. This can cause the air bag to deploy in a rotated orientation.

Why it matters: In the event of a crash, the deployment of the driver's air bag in a rotated orientation increases the risk of injury.

Remedy: FNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front Driver's Side Air Bag Module, free of charge. The recall began on August 10, 2015. Owners may contact Ferrari customer service at 1-866-551-2828. Ferrari's number for this recall is 57.

PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTOR

What I would inspect before money changes hands

The highest reported component groups are converted into inspection tasks. They are not diagnoses.

1

Baseline vehicle inspection

  • Cold start, road test and full-system scan
  • Check fluids, leaks, tires, brakes and battery
  • Review maintenance, collision and recall history
SCAN INTEGRITY CHECK

Make it harder for a recently cleared warning light to fool you.

A clean dashboard is not the same as a clean scan. Readiness monitors, pending codes and permanent codes provide useful context during a pre-purchase inspection.

TSBs & MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATIONS

Look beyond recalls.

Manufacturers submit service bulletins, warranty extensions, repair instructions and other communications to NHTSA. These documents can reveal service procedures and known conditions that are not necessarily safety recalls.
