Privacy by design

This build does not include advertising trackers, user accounts, or a first-party analytics script. Finder selections are sent to VeroRoad's serverless endpoints only to calculate recommendations.

VIN handling

VIN entry is optional. When you choose Decode VIN, the VIN is sent to VeroRoad's VIN endpoint and forwarded to the U.S. NHTSA vPIC service for decoding. VeroRoad returns a masked VIN plus decoded vehicle attributes. The endpoint is configured with no-store caching, and the full VIN is not sent into the recommendation request after decoding. The browser keeps only the decoded year/make/model/engine/trim/series context needed for the current session.

As with any hosted application, infrastructure providers may maintain standard operational/security logs. Do not enter a VIN if you do not want it transmitted to NHTSA and the hosting infrastructure.

External destinations

When you leave VeroRoad through a purchase button, you are sent to Amazon.com and Amazon's own privacy and cookie policies apply.

U.S. vehicle data

VIN decoding and make/model lookup use the public NHTSA vPIC service. VeroRoad does not need to retain the full VIN to rank tools; decoded vehicle attributes are used for matching.
